Women from opposing teams Club America and FC Barcelona unite to hold a banner that says, "It's over, you're not alone!" and a T-shirt that reads, "Jenni, for you, for all of us" – in response to the fallout from Spain’s football chief Luis Rubiales kissing Spanish player Jennifer Hermoso.
Calls for Spain's football chief to resign over an unwanted kiss are getting louder.
Before last night's women's friendly between Club America and Barcelona in Mexico City, members of both teams embraced as they displayed a banner reading: "It's over -- you're not alone", along with a t-shirt that says, "Jenni, for you, for all of us."
The gesture is part of a growing outpour of support for Spanish football player Jenni Hermoso, who Luis Rubiales forcibly kissed upon winning the Women's World Cup earlier this month. The incident sparked global outrage for what many see as sexual assault.
Rubiales, who's been temporarily suspended by FIFA, maintains the kiss was mutual.
