Flash flooding killed at least two people and left the streets of Ecatepec de Morelos, north of Mexico City, inundated on September 6, officials and local press said.
The FloodList site reported that 24 mm of rain fell in just 90 minutes, mainly in the central area of San Cristobal and neighboring Sierra de Guadalupe.
Videos from the Government of Ecatepec de Morelos show the roads flooded and locals being evacuated.
Mexico’s national weather bureau warned residents to take precautions against the inundations.
