As you can see, the video is out of focus. At first, I thought I had a dud unit, but as per an article I found on dashcamtalk.com, this issue is common on many of these models, and there is a way to remedy it. See the following link for details:

I managed I apply this fix to mine, and the focus is a lot better now.
