Troy and I went 7 miles offshore out from Boca Grande Pass, got into the sharks big time, caught a nice King Fish and a few days later went 14 miles out to School Bus reef and got a Grouper.
We used Shimano Stradic’s, Saragosa and Daiwa BG, Saltist for fishing reels, and Gloomis and St.Criox for rods. For line we had Power Pro 15,20,40lbs test and for leaders Seagar 30, 60, also wire from 15lb to 30lb. Owner hooks 2/0 4/0 tournament circles, and 2/0 ssw octopus style, J-hook.
