1st January 2025 saw us bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, heading over to the Cholmondeley Arms pub car meet in Cheshire, wafted there by the XJ8. I had planned on taking something older, but the roads around here are in such a bad state (potholes, flooded, tree branches everywhere etc) it didn't seem fair to subject any of the older cars to such conditions! (We returned home on the main roads which were better).
Many classic cars and sports cars were already there, and we arrived well before the "official" start time of 10am. In this video, I take a look at what turned up, highlights being a couple of other Jaguar saloons (inc a Jaguar 420G), various MGs, Victor FB, Mini, TVR, Chevy 3100 pickup, Alfa Romeo Spider, and a WW2 Willys Jeep. All in all, a very agreeable start to the new year!
