Antifreeze coolant is an important part of your engine. It keeps engine from overheating and protects against high and low temperatures. It’s very easy to check, and you won’t even need tools. Here's a step-by-step guide to check and add antifreeze.
Step 1: Locate your hood release—usually on the left side of the driver’s seat.
Step 2: Find the radiator reservoir. It’s usually a white tank. Never remove the radiator pressure cap from the overflow tank while the engine is hot.
Step 3: The level should be between the low and high marks. Check your owner’s manual to use the proper antifreeze coolant in your vehicle.
Step 4: Add the appropriate fluid if necessary, or stop by one of the Jiffy Lube locations nationwide that offers coolant system services.
