Personal Reflection
Today’s Reflection on the Readings
Prayer
PRAYER – My Lord and patient God, help me to practice patience in doing good. No matter what may occur, allow me to face each day with quiet courage and without complaint, knowing You are always at my side and that all is part of Your divine plan. I pray for total abandonment to Your Will. Sts John de Brébeuf, Isaac Jogues and your fellow Martyrs, please pray for us all, amen.
Personal Reflection
Am I focused and aware of responsibility, the main theme of today's reading?
Today’s Reflection on the Readings
Two real-world examples of servants from our society—one devoted and the other unfaithful—can be found in the gospel of today. The obedient servants carry out their tasks in silence and devotion. They hardly ever voice complaints or gripes about any difficulties. Additionally, the dishonest servants who fail in their duty ruin the lives of others. However, the devout are only temporarily successful. Jesus expressly forewarns about their bad behaviour. Evil stalks the world like a
roaring lion in search of prey to devour and wreck. But if we individually endeavour to be faithful in our own ways and use the skills that God has given us, as His children, we can meaningfully and totally improve the world in which we live.
Prayer
Thank you, O most compassionate and loving God, for having the wisdom to recognise all of my gifts and the obligations they entail. Lord, I pray that this would always bring me joy and appreciation rather than being a burden. Lord, grant me the wisdom and gentleness to help each and every one of my subscribers and supporters deal with fear, worry, illness, and other anxiety-inducing situations.
