Today, infrastructures, machines and objects are increasingly networked with one another and continuously produce massive amounts of data. This data must be analyzed and transformed into "Smart Data", in order to optimize “predictive maintenance” and economic use of them.
For simplified understanding, Empolis has simulated an industrial facility, using Lego® robots to load and transport cargo. This provides examples of real problems and possible solutions. The facility's sensor technology collects a total of up to one million data points per minute. The resulting information is visualized on a touch screen monitor in the form of a "Log View."
