How to turn your Driver Monitoring System (DMS) settings off. The New-Gen Triton (MV) uses a camera to monitor the driver’s face and detect driver drowsiness or distraction. An audio prompt response and visual alert is displayed via the instrument cluster meter display when such events are detected. A FAQ we have received is how to turn this feature off. Here is a how to guide for you!
Please note that when you turn your vehicle off, your DMS will automatically be back on. This is a great safety feature we do recommend leaving it on as if the system detects distraction, the Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) operates earlier than usual. If the system detects fatigue (Drowsiness, Micro-sleep, Sleep), FCM and Lane Departure Warning operate earlier than usual.
