Iranian lawmakers are calling for harsh punishments against protesters, as the country struggles to suppress the biggest show of nationwide dissent in years.
Iran has been in the midst of anti-government mass protests for over a month, following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in police custody in September, after she allegedly violated Iran's Islamic dress code.
According to Hrana news agency, 318 protesters and 38 members of the security forces have been killed since demonstrations began.
