At the 69th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, activists across the world react human rights abuse and genocidal acts in Turkey targeting even babies. Human rights activists gathered in Munich, Germany to draw attention to human rights violations under Erdoğan’s regime and 17 thousand women and more than 700 babies in Turkey’s prisons.
The activists gathered at the city centre to voice the dire conditions of the imprisoned babies and their tragedies. The demonstrators called on the Turkish government to stop targeting babies. Moreover, a letter written from the mouth of a baby who is born in prison is handed out. Carlos Latuff, a world-known cartoonist, drew a special cartoon for the letter to show his solidarity. At the press release, the demonstrators said: “668 babies and 17 thousand mothers are victims of Erdoğan’s dirty war in Turkey.”
