STORYLINE:
At the 76th Cannes Film Festival, there were plenty of eye-popping fashion moments as a coterie of stars streamed down the' famous red carpet for the opening night ceremony.
At the premiere of his movie "Jeanne du Barry," which kicked off the festival, Johnny Depp sported classic Dior and purple-hued sunglasses, which he removed to reveal heavy eyeliner.
Naomi Campbell wore a plunging, sequined gown by Celine accessorized with Chopard bracelets.
Gong Li chose a black turtleneck and ball skirt from the Alaïa Fall 2023 with stunning Cartier necklace, Uma Thurman wore a Dior Haute Couture pink satin dress with red satin coat, and Esha Gupta made her Cannes red carpet debut in an elegant Nicolas Jebran gown.
Alessandra Ambrosio rocked a hooded vintage sequinned Elie Saab gown, and Catherine Zeta-Jones wore a scarlet outfit with very low-cut halter neckline and cape-like detail from the same designer.
Dame Helen Mirren premiered her new look: blue hair in an elaborate up-do, with a taffeta blue gown by Del Core. Cannes regular Elle Fanning looked stunning in custom Alexander McQueen, inspired by the Fall 2023 collection.
Pom Klementieff wore Atelier Versace purple gown in metallic jersey with striking shoulders, a thigh-high slit and long gloves.
At the premiere of "Monster" on Wednesday, supermodel Sara Sampaio brought a pop of color with a bright orange cut-out chiffon gown with feather detailing by Zuhair Murad, actor Gemma Chan wore a high-neck white Louis Vuitton gown, and Viola Davis stole the show in white from Valentino's Fall 2022 Couture collection, with ostrich feather coat.
On Thursday night, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart made a rare red carpet appearance at the world premiere of "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny."
Other stars on the red carpet included model Adriana Lima, who wore a striking black bandeau gown with yellow detail by Tamara Ralph Couture, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, looking stunning in a sculptural hooded gown with Bulgari jewellery.
German actor and social media personality Lilly Krug turned heads with Grecian-style maxi dress in peach and white, with long flowing sleeves and feather detail.
Also on Thursday night, Fan Bingbing made a truly glittering entrance in white and silver at the Women in Cinema event - a special gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes.
