One of the most unique fonts that we have in our print shop exhibit is “Shadow.” The font was designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1934 for the American Type Founders. Benton is credited as America's most prolific designer of metal type for letterpress printing. He oversaw a team that completed 221 typefaces while he worked for the American Type Founders.
In this video, Howard discusses the Shadow font, how it definitely looks peculiar when looking at the face of the sorts, and prints an example.
