Gauteng Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile says his department will spend around 50-million rand to continue refurbishing old township industrial parks across the province. Maile has tabled his 1.4-billion Rand budget in the Gauteng Legislature. Over 40-million rand was spent in the last financial year to refurbish eight dilapidated industrial parks. Maile says the provincial government is trying to create a conducive environment for small businesses to operate.
