Local chip restaurant, BeFries, is Befriending the city’s homeless.
The shop, in West Street, Brighton, has been chipping in to help the city’s rough sleeping community by offering some warm words and warm food to those forced to spend the nights on the streets.
The temperatures have plummeted over recent weeks leaving many campaigners to petition the council to open up their cold weather shelters.
According to government figures released last week, Brighton and Hove has the second highest number of rough sleepers in the country with 144 people sleeping in the city’s streets.
