" ভাওয়াল সন্ন্যাসী মামলা " বিংশ শতকের প্রথম ভাগের একটি বিখ্যাত মামলা। রাজকুমার রমেন্দ্র নারায়ণ ১৯০৫ সালে সিফিলিসে আক্রান্ত হলে ৪ বছর পর চলে যান দার্জিলিং এ। তারপরেই রহস্যের সূত্রপাত। অনেকের মতে তিনি সেখানেই মৃত্যু বরণ করেন , আবার অনেকের মতে তিনি নাকি জীবিত ছিলেন।
এর ঠিক ১০-১১ বছর পর, ভাওয়াল রাজবাড়ীতে এক সন্ন্যাসীর আগমন ঘটে, যাকে অনেকেই মনে করেন সেই হারিয়ে যাওয়া রাজকুমার রমেন্দ্র নারায়ণ। যদিও তিনি বেশি দিন জীবিত ছিলেন না।
কিন্তু প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে তৎকালীন ভাওয়াল রাজবংশের বিপুল ধণ সম্পত্তি গেল কোথায় ? রাজকুমারের রহস্যের সাথে সেগুলোও কি ধামাচাপা পড়ে গেছে?
