The shilling Thursday weakened to the 89.55 level against the dollar, which it last traded in mid-December 2011, with traders warning that it could slide further if the Central Bank does not intervene. However, the Central Bank downplayed the latest rally noting that it has accumulated 7.4 billion dollars in forex reserves, which is adequate to meet any unforeseen market developments.
