(4 Oct 2015) The leader of Portugal's center-left Socialist Party cast his ballot in the country's elections on Sunday.
Antonio Costa's party, the main opposition force, has promised to start easing the tax burden and speed up growth through domestic consumption.
However, opinion polls suggested the center-right coalition government was close to re-election, despite enacting tax increases and cutting pay, pensions and public services over the past four years.
