Why is the original Playstation 1 audiophile?

1. Only the SCPH100X models which had an excellent DAC and RCA out are considered worthy.

2. As long as you don't pay top dollar you can find these for under $50 or you might already have one laying around!

3. Music lovers have debated whether they're really up to scratch in stock form, or do they need a few modifications?

Personally I've loved using my PS1 SCPH1002(PAL) for playing games AND listening to CD's. I think it sounds great in stock form but I plan on trying out a few modifications to see if it can be even better! So stay tuned on my YouTube channel for that video.
