OAIM members learn using our high definition online Irish music tutorials from the best Irish music tutors in Ireland. In this video, they are playing Whelan's Jig, also known as Grainne Mhaoil, Port Uí Fhaoláin, Tommy Whelan’s, Uí Fhaoláin, Whelan’s Fancy and Whelan’s Frolics - and probably lots of other names too! It's played at 75% speed (remember they're learning) using our Play-Along Backing Tracks practice app. An app that lets you regulate the speed of playback between 50, 75 and 100%, with melody and accompaniment options. Allowing you to play slowly at first and then increasing your speed as you build confidence. Accuracy first, then speed.
