In this video, I will show you high-speed trains that run on the Moscow - St. Petersburg railway line, and at the end - an unusual diesel locomotive.
1. A double-decker train with a ChS200 locomotive travels from Moscow to St. Petersburg (634 km) in 5 hours and 42 minutes. The speed of the train reaches 160 km/h. I briefly talked about the ChS200 locomotive in this video:

2. High-speed train "Sapsan" (EVS1). These trains are produced in Germany and launched in 2009. The fastest "Sapsan" travels from Moscow to St. Petersburg in 3 hours 41 minutes.
3. Train "Lastochka" (ES2G) - a project of the Siemens concern. In Russia, there are about 240 such trains of various modifications - urban and regional, for two or for one power supply system, but they have the same appearance. Lastochka trains have been produced under license in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma near Yekaterinburg since 2011.
4. Locomotive 2M62-0823 "Mashka". These locomotives were built in Lugansk from 1976 to 1986, totaling 1260 locomotives. In Russia, 2M62s are gradually being phased out of service, but there are still a lot of them. 2M62-0823 is unique in its body color: it is the last locomotive of this series painted blue. Now Russian Railways is repainting all locomotives in a red and gray livery, and it is a great success to meet locomotives of other colors in Russia. In this video, the blue "Masha" is working on snow removal.
