The rapid boom of Artificial Intelligence in the past year has already shaken the world. However, while we marvel at the capabilities of AI powered innovations like Chat GPT and the transformative potential that this emerging technology holds, we are faced with an evergrowing need to ensure that the continuous AI developments and implementations are safe, trustworthy and human-centric. A consortium of four European universities, led by Tallinn University of Technlogy, aim to lead this conversation in the upcoming years.
In a seminar hosted at the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU in Brussels called “European Leadership in Safe and Trustowrthy AI” several experts discussed how Europe must approach this new digital revolution.
Welcome words and an introduction to the significance of the topic were given by Carmen Kadastik, the Estonian Research Council Liason Officer.
