This Advent season, our message series, "Out of the Blue: When God Surprises" focuses on how God often shows up in unexpected ways. Throughout Scripture, we see God breaking into ordinary lives with extraordinary surprises. Advent invites us to pay attention to His coming—not only in the past or the future but here and now, in the middle of our waiting.
Advent is a season of joy and hope, a time to be reminded that Jesus has come, will come again, and comes to us even now, often in surprising ways.
This week, we’ll celebrate the third Sunday of Advent by lighting the candle of joy and explore the brief yet powerful story of Anna in Luke 2:36–38. Anna shows us what it looks like to wait faithfully and respond joyfully to Jesus. I can’t wait to dive into her story together!
