Happy Halloween! George is back with an in-depth look back at John Carpenter's 1980 effort- The Fog.
In this video George touches on the Fog's aesthetic merits- is it still scary? John Carpenter and his theatre troupe style of filmmaking and his recurring team of loyal filmmakers are lauded. The film is viewed through the lens of cultural shifts in the 20th century and how the fog touches on the domestic and working life of the people of Antonio Bay- and what that says about the nature of the town curse.
Some good books I looked back at in researching this video:

- Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film, 1978-1986 by Adam Rockoff
