It’s been 27 years since the women’s reservation bill was first introduced in Parliament. While the bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha in 2010, it is yet to clear the Lok Sabha. The buzz is that the Modi government is likely to introduce the women’s reservation bill in the special session of Parliament to be held from September 18 to 22.
