The Liberals plan to spend $21 billion over the next five years on growing the clean economy through a series of green tax credits and expect to increase that to $80 billion by 2034. 'This is an investment we are going to look back on and say this launched the Canadian economy for the 21st century,' Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said. The minister also said that the provinces are going to be at the table when it comes to supporting investments in a clean economy.
