A typology proposed for Manila's Small is Big Master Plan:
A Contemporary Cultural Arts Center
As an institution that aims to further foster the advancement of Philippine arts, the buildings design is greatly influenced by known filipino abstract artists, such as Fernando Zobel, Arturo Luz, and Jose Joya. This approach to the design was meant to heal this experiential impoverishment that came with the age of technology, translating abstract art to architecture as a tool to educate, as well as provide an experience where people could fully immerse in what impact filipino art could have.
