We have a few photography tips to help you improve the quality of low-light photos shot indoors or at night. It is common to get blurry photos in low light when you DSLR camera is set to auto. One way to prevent blurry photos in low light is to get closer to the light source or bring more light source to the subject. Another way is to make sure your camera is steady with a tripod or other steady surface. Yet another way is change the ISO. The best ISO settings for low light is around 800, but take a test shot and keep raising it until you like the results. You may get more noise but you can raise the shutter speed if your subject is moving to help balance the ratio. Lastly you can clean up noise in post-production with apps like Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture. Try our free filters like the Google Nik collection including the Dfine filter to reduce noise.
