Luigi Mangione, the man indicted in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is expected to waive extradition when he faces a judge in Pennsylvania on Thursday.
Mangione could be returned to New York as soon as Thursday, according to his attorney. He is scheduled to have a hearing for his Pennsylvania charges at the Blair County Courthouse at 8:30 a.m.
A judge in Pennsylvania will have to accept Mangione's extradition.
