Pythium diseases of turfgrass typically result in significant decline in root systems and turf quality. In the case of foliar blight, you may lose turf altogether. Management of diseases caused by Pythium species is often more difficult because the majority of fungicides available do not control oomycete pathogens. Brian A. Aynardi, Ph.D., will provide an overview of the different diseases caused by Pythium pathogens on cool- and warm-season turfgrasses during this 60-minute webinar presented by PBI-Gordon. Aynardi will review best practices for controlling root Pythium diseases as compared to Pythium blight, then cover effective control options for these diseases.
