Kate Rebholz is the Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., at the U.S. Mission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Prior to arriving in Jakarta, Ms. Rebholz was the Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Ms. Rebholz has served in a combination of State Department domestic and overseas assignments. In Washington, she worked in the Office of Korean Affairs on North Korea policy, as the economic unit chief in the Office of India Affairs, as a special assistant to the Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, and as a foreign policy fellow in the Office of Senator Edward J. Markey. Her previous overseas assignments include consular work in India and political and economic work in Indonesia.
Before joining the State Department, Kate was the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the University of Michigan Medical Center. A graduate of Amherst College, Kate holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and is a Fellow of the Thomas J. Watson Foundation. Kate is married to fellow Foreign Service Officer Jason Rebholz. They have two children.
