Darwin Price faced off against Javontae Starks in a scheduled 8-round super lightweight bout on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonia, TX. This fight was broadcast live as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.
The majority of the fight was dominated by Price who came into the fight with an undefeated record. Price's "jab jab right" combination was definitely the shining star of the night. Starks seemed to have no way of defending himself from the combination. Price even used it to score a knockdown in the 3rd round.
The fight continued until the 7th round when Starks was unable to defend himself against Price's onslaught of punches forcing the ref to call off the fight with just over a minute left in the round. Price remains undefeated with a record of 11-0 (6 KOs).
