Portrait Mode is a popular feature released for the iPhone in 2016. It blurs out your background with just a tap and emphasizes your face, making for great selfies.
It makes sense that Apple would bring Portrait Mode to one of their favorite apps that pushes you to stare straight into the camera: FaceTime.
iOS 15 introduces Portrait Mode in FaceTime and lets you look terrific while video-chatting. It also introduces background blurring, a feature that has been readily available in other 3rd party video apps.
