We conducted a recording session to compare/test different vocal microphones for female vocal duties.
We were graced by the awesome singer Vanya as the featured singer to put the selected microphones to test.
On the hot seat are the following awesome mics; Peluso P67 tube mic, Lawson L47 MKII FET mic, Neumann u87 ai FET mic and BA-37 tube mic (a custom build for Gerry by Barbaric Amplification).
This is a singular performance recorded simultaneously via 4 channel mic preamp Sytek MPX-4aii. The u87 and L47 used the channels with BurrBrown transformers. No EQ or compression on the vocals in this mix.
