There are a few things drummers love to debate - traditional vs match grip, rock or jazz drumming, and wood or metal snare drums. Well in this #snaresaturday video, it’s time to see if you can hear the difference between a wood and metal snare drum. During this blind test, you'll listen to 2 wood snares - a 50s WFL 3-ply mahogany, and a steam-bent solid curly hickory from MCD. For the metal snares - a present-day Ludwig Black Beauty, and a Ludwig Heirloom Stainless Steel snare. It's time to see if there really is a major difference, and if you can hear the difference between a wood and metal snare drum!
