Another flying trip for me and to a kinda new destination for me with an airline I've not flown with before. This trip was inspired due to an unplanned divert to Vienna in January on a Jet2 flight intended for Salzburg. So technically I have been here before, just never left the airport
Anyway, this was one of the first flights to leave Heathrow this day, infact the second departure to be exact, following the Swiss A220 to Zurich. Once we had took off from Runway 09R we had some nice views across London before venturing out across the channel and into Europe. I had already eaten in the Terminal so wasn't really hungry to purchase anything onboard, the food menu didn't look very appetising for me either. After about 90 minutes we commenced our descent and arrival into Vienna on Runway 34.
Austrian are a decent airline, just like any other really, I didn't see much that wowed me compared to other airlines. Sadly these days flag carriers don't feel too much different to the LCC's, maybe I would of enjoyed the flight more had it not been a 6am flight but that was my choosing at the end of the day so I can't complain!
