Tenants in St. Paul, Minnesota were upset after the city council allowed a landlord to raise the rent by 15%, in spite of the new rent control law which limits rent increases to no more than 3%.
The move by the city Council only further shows that it is a great burden for landlords to ask for a rent increase and it deters Landlords and developers from wanting to do business in the city.
