By having the attacking character on "stoic overdrive setmode" and the other 2 non-active characters on "Comrade overdrive setmode" we are able to having the active character gain AP for the other 2 characters in battle that aren't participating. You can do this for every character in the game until your sphere grid is maxed out. Comrade setmode is especially helpful for characters that don't have very many kills so that they can still get lots of AP from this battle :).
