President & CEO Eric Desaulniers participated in Caterpillar’s Sustainability Showcase in February 2023. At the ‘Mine Site of the Future’ at Tucson Proving Ground in Arizona, the attendees witnessed CAT's first all-electric 793 mining truck prototype.
An early believer in heavy-duty electrification, NMG is delighted to work in collaboration with Caterpillar to bring its vision of the world's first all-electric open-pit mine to reality. We look forward to receiving zero-emission machines for testing at our Matawinie Mine helping further our responsible mining practices and curbing our carbon footprint thanks to Québec's clean hydropower.
