Fables teach us that all we need are only the Bare Necessities of life. And who else can teach us this great lesson then the animals. Do you think that Mowgli of Jungle Book was at a disadvantage because he missed out on schooling in his early years?
We have inherited the earth from the jungle dwellers and have converted it into a concrete jungle. Yet we look down upon them, deprive them of even the bare necessities like water, space and peace. If we learn to co-exist with them, we can create a wonderful earth.
To do that we need to become children, to re-start our learning from the fables and to question our own value system and priorities. We need to listen to what was told to Alice in Wonderland:
“The time has come the walrus said, to speak of many things. Of sailing ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings..."
Once we move out of our ivory towers and accept that nature, flora and fauna have more to teach us than man-made text books, the real learning begins. Dr. Ali Khwaja is the Chairman and principal faculty of Banjara Academy. Since more than three decades, he has been conducting training programs and workshops for most prestigious Government and private organisations and is in great demand all over the country by wide range of Institutions. Twenty years ago, he devised a unique program to teach people from all walks of life and of ages, the human skills of counselling and emotional support across the Indian Community. This course has no text book, curriculum or theory, but has touched the hearts of thousands who have not only improved their life significantly, but are consistently reaching out to many others not only in India but also in other countries. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
