Today we are archiving another horror game and this time it's probably 2024's most unique horror game. Indika tells the story of a nun who is struggling with her belief and goes on a long journey where she meets all kinds of quirky characters and needs to solve puzzles.
Some have actually labeled Indika more of an art project than an actual game, but I would say that there are plenty of gameplay mechanics implemented and also a lot of times where you are walking and the story is being told. I think the subject matter and setting is very original and always has you guessing where the story goes next.
The puzzles are also really good and are never too difficult that you get stuck for long. And there are multiple times where the game's impressive 3D graphics are turned into a retro pixel style and you get to play minigames. The game just oozes charm and also is not afraid to get funny and crazy from time to time while also dealing with serious subject matter.
It's a game I will still think about for a long time and probably will revisit whenever my faith is wavering as well. So see you again in the future, Indika!
