Seth dives into the rich culinary heritage of the Mediterranean. He first stops into Green Almond Pantry in Georgetown to try the “7 minute egg sandwich,” an open-faced sandwich overflowing with bold flavors. He then tries the classic Lebanese plate Fatteh Bethengien, a warm eggplant and yogurt dish, at the family-run Cedars of Lebanon in Greenbelt, MD. And he wraps up in the Pike & Rose district of North Bethesda at Melina, where he savors the lamb neck kleftiko, which features lamb that has been slow-cooked for almost 24 hours.
Signature Dish: Mediterranean Magic premieres Monday, October 9, 2023 on WETA PBS.
