Starting in late March through early fall, North America's largest urban Bat population calls Austin, Texas home. Over 1.5 Million Bats will take to the sky each night from under the Congress Ave Bridge. On the nightly flights the Mexican Free-Tailed Bats will eat anywhere from 10,000 - 30,000 pounds of insects, including mosquitos and harmful agricultural pests. Enjoy watching them begin their nightly pilgrimage.
