I've got my hands on the one of the surprise-released Apple Macbook pro 2019 units, with 8 cores and 16Gb of RAM.

This is a quick run through of the benchmarks and I also flat-line the processors for a while to have a look at the temperatures and throttling. Initial findings look pretty positive!
