The ICU rotation was easily the most challenging and emotionally draining rotation of my internal medicine residency. As a resident, you are tasked with taking care of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. From code blues to placing central lines, there is literally never a dull moment in the ICU. In this video, I discuss seven lessons that I learned during my two months working in the ICU as an internal medicine resident.
