This Progress Report video was completed for the 2013 CGI Annual Meeting. It details progress on Procter & Gamble's commitment to action, P&G Children's Safe Drinking Water: Safe a Life an Hour. In 2010, Procter and Gamble (P&G) through the P&G Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program, a not-for-profit effort of P&G, committed to increase its current capacity and scope to provide clean drinking water to developing countries with the aim of saving one life every hour, 24/7, by 2020. To achieve this goal, P&G will build a new P&G Purifier of Water packets manufacturing plant in Singapore, raise awareness through social media, and deliver 200 million packets every year by 2020. Since its inception in 2004, the CSDW Program has distributed clean water to vulnerable populations in the developing world through the efforts of 100 partners in more than 70 countries under six previous CGI Commitments to Action.
