We spent the better part of the day riding and picnicking in Cades Cove on a "No Car Wednesday" in June. The weather was absolute perfection this day making it a pure joy to ride the 11 mile loop and gravel extensions over and over since there were no vehicles allowed.

Would advise riders to arrive very early by 7:00am or wait until after 1:00pm because parking is limited and restricted to designated areas ONLY. Parking along roadways is no longer allowed. We arrived at 10:45am and no parking was available, but we circled the picnic area and luckily someone had just vacated a space. Luck was with us.

We saw several bears, one very close and is included in the video. Deer, horses and turkeys were also prevalent. The mountains surrounding the Cove are simply majestic and complete the overall beauty of this area.
