An epic day of downhill mountain biking just outside of Medellin, Colombia, with local tour company Eco-Extreme Trails. A mix of, technical single trail with flowing burns, and views to die for. If you love downhill, love being in beautiful places and you're thinking about or will be in Colombia, then getting in touch with these guys is an absolute must.

A number of years back I worked as a downhill mountain biking guide for "Elemento Outdoor Adventures" in Santa Marta, Colombia for a number of years, I then moved to the center of Colombia to manage one of Colombia's most well-known downhill mountain biking companies and although I'd heard of Esteban (the owner of eco-extreme trails) here in Medellin, I'd never had the pleasure of riding with him or any of his crew, that is until now, and boy what a treat it was.

When I was managing "Colombian Bike Junkies" in San Gil, although they provide an incredible service and all-round good time that caters to most levels of downhill experience, most of the tours they do are for beginners. Yes, Eco-Extreme Trails still has tours that cater to the beginners, however, what they do have that neither "Colombian Bike Junkies" or "Elemento Outdoor Adventures" had, is something for the hardcore downhill junkies or the "Supercharged Advanced Tours" as Eco-Extreme Trails so eloquently put it.

I have done downhill mountain biking in various places around Colombia, and I can't wait to get back to Medellin later in the year to tackle some of the other trails that this crew knows about, because what they have shown me up until now has been nothing but world-class.

Their services include everything from, Mountainbike tours of all levels, bike rental, bike parks, mountain biking lessons, camping in stunning places mixed with mountain biking or just camping if you're not into the biking as much and they also do ATV's and Pit bike rentals if you want you to change the pedals for a motor.

Extremely professional and very well priced, with tours ranging from $35 USD to $125 USD, I couldn't recommend these guys enough.
