Deloitte Chief Strategy Officer Clare Harding says Deloitte’s new flexible work policy is a response to “trends that were already happening” before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company will offer employees increased flexibility on where and when they work in a new policy called DeloitteFlex.
“What we see is that these trends were already happening before the pandemic; changes in people’s working hours, you only have to look at retail hours to see how things were shifting," Ms Harding told Sky News.
“What we’ve seen through the pandemic is a significant acceleration of some of those changes.
“So what we’ve done here is respond to those changes and put in place something that we believe is a market-leading approach to family friendly, flexible working.
“That enables our team members to choose the hours that they work so that they can be really responsive to our clients, they can work really well with their teams and they can make their choices about how, when or where they work according to their own needs."
