Parliament buikding is a place you must see in Bucharest. This is the largest building in Europe and the second largest in the world. The most expensive building in the world was built during the time of Nicolae Ceausescu.

In order for this building to be built, 9000 houses, 20 churches and 1 cathedral were demolished.

There are 1100 rooms in the Parliament, of which only 30% are in use.

There was an idea to demolish the building after Ceausescu's death, but since explosives would require a lot of money, that idea was abandoned.
